The Bingham County 9-1-1 Center provides call-taking and dispatch services to the Sheriff's Office, two Police Departments and five Fire/EMS agencies, answer emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire and medical services, obtain and document pertinent information pertaining to those calls for service, provide pre-arrival instructions, determine types of assistance needed and dispatch emergency services personnel, monitor and document all emergency personnel location and activities at all times, coordinate and document responses from outside agencies, process and enter all reports into the National Crime Information Center. No experience necessary, all training and certifications are provided on the job. Full county benefits, including 6 weeks of paid parental leave, shift differential, 16 hours of paid leave per month and PERSI retirement. We have a full kitchen & work out facility. Pay range $20.25-$21.46. The Bingham County 9-1-1 Center is open 24/7, 365 days a year. Communications Officers are required to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.

Receive, search, book, photograph and secure arrested persons. Provide a safe, clean environment and dispense medication as required by a physician. Log and document monies, personal property, arrest files, mail, phone calls, and security checks. Provide security for inmates and personnel, as well as the courtroom. Supervise preparation of meals, duties of trustees, cleaning, work release, and visiting. Transport inmates to medical destinations, other correctional facilities, and transfers to other agencies. May assist county road patrols in transporting prisoners. Provide reports of incidents, collect evidence and testify in court. Prepare notice of inmate and jail violations ensuring an orderly flow of facts and actions in the interest of prisoners and the Sheriff`s Office. Knowledge of dispatch and general office duties if called upon or replace dispatch personnel. Perform other duties as required.
