The City of Hailey Police Department has an opening for the position of Patrol Officer and/or School Resource Officer. This is a full-time position with three 12-hour & four 11-hour shifts or eight 10-hour shifts per 2-week pay periods. Prior law enforcement experience is encouraged to come in as a lateral and at a higher starting wage, but not required. If selected to join our team with no previous experience, we will provide extensive on-the-job training and send you to the academy while you are a paid employee. Starting patrol pay is $72,280/yr ($34.75/hr), and beginning wage can start much higher DOE with overtime and compensatory opportunities available. The Hailey Police Department is an accredited municipal law enforcement agency. Receive, search, book, photograph and secure arrested persons. Provide a safe, clean environment and dispense medication as required by a physician. Log and document monies, personal property, arrest files, mail, phone calls, and security checks. Provide security for inmates and personnel, as well as the courtroom. The Clark County 9-1-1 Center provides call-taking and dispatch services to the Sheriff's Office and one Fire/EMS agencies, answer emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire and medical services, obtain and document pertinent information pertaining to those calls for service, provide pre-arrival instructions, determine types of assistance needed and dispatch emergency services personnel, monitor and document all emergency personnel location and activities at all times, coordinate and document responses from outside agencies, process and enter all reports into the National Crime Information Center and monitor the detention center.
